Having come to Hull University to study a degree in
Social Policy and a Diploma in Social Work, Rachel has excelled in
her first set of exam results, and is destined for a successful
career in her chosen field of social work, following her mother into
the profession. Her father works as a solicitor for Carlisle City
Council. Her elder brother Stewart is currently studying a degree in
chemistry at the Universiy of Liverpool, whilst her younger brother ,
Stephen is still at school. Rachel has always lived in Carlisle,
though she is fairly well travelled, and she is a firm follower of
the catholic faith. Rachel currently has no pets, though she had
until two years ago a much loved dog called Heidi, who sadly died in
her arms in 1997. Rachel is not only talented in her current field of
study, but can also speak Spanish, and is a very talented musician,
being able to play the violin and the mandolin to a very high level
of skill in addition to being an accomplished pianist. Rachel is not
only a talented musician, but also enjoys listening to music, her
favourite track being "Castles in the Sand" by Thunder. Rachel is
much loved by her boyfriend Graham, who is also studying at the same
University, and the two of them enjoy frequent visits to the Eclipse
night club on a Wednesday, where Hull's biggest rock night is staged.
